We Are asking for volunteers to donate gently used coats and shoes for all ages as well as monetary donations. The $10 general admission will be donated to our cause. Floods Bar & Grille is located at 731 St Antoine St, Detroit, MI 48226. Sponsors for the event include Floods Bar & Grille, Detroit Rap Artist Big Rizz, and retired NFL Player Kevin Vickerson.

Beginning at 6 p.m., Floods will open its doors to the public as it will be the beginning of happy hour until 9 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to enjoy half-off food and drinks while supporting the local community. Rohns board members will fundraise throughout the event. Those who may not contribute by donating a coat or pair of shoes are encouraged to attend and donate through the admission fee as well other opportunities throughout the night.

The goal is to provide 100 coats and 100 pairs of shoes for community members of all ages. we understand the importance of providing proper outerwear as harsh winter weather approaches, while also acknowledging that not every family has the means to purchase them. Rohns Community Founder William Harris was inspired to hold the drive as he noticed families in the freezing cold without coats and shoes walking near Gratiot at his community car wash “Time 2 Shine“. ”It's heartbreaking to see families and children without coats and shoes in the cold weather. As a compassionate person, I made it my duty to help in any way I can, said Harris. “Kevin Vickerson and Big Rizz are great additions to the initiative and I’m glad they’re so willing to support our cause.”
